As a least developed country (LDC), Bangladesh enjoys duty-free or reduced-tariff access to many developed and developing countries. This is backed by its WTO membership and by several regional trade blocs.
At the 6th WTO ministerial conference in Hong Kong in 2005, members agreed that developed countries will give LDCs duty-free quota-free (DFQF) access on at least 97% of tariff lines. It was the first legally binding decision on DFQF for LDCs.
